Resorts and homestays in Mananthavady, Wayanad

Mananthavady, in the north of Wayanad, is quieter and more rural than the southern towns. It is close to Kuruva Island on the Kabini river, the ancient Thirunelli Temple, and the forest roads toward Tholpetty wildlife range, and it is a sensible base if you are driving in on the Hunsur and Kutta route. Stays here are mostly homestays, farm resorts, and villas, often with plantation surroundings. Choices are fewer than in Vythiri or Kalpetta, and distances to the southern sights are longer, but you get fewer crowds.
